Planting Sunflowers!

Welcome to Friday's gardening lesson. Today is all about sunflowers! Here's a video with a little information about these fascinating plants. 

Now that you know a little more about sunflowers, here's how to plant your own seeds. 

In the Lesson video I mentioned that you may want to plant a sunflower house like the boy in the book, A Sunflower House by Eve Bunting. Here is a picture of a sunflower house I grew one year. 

Can you see some of the tiny flowers that make up this sunflower head? Hint: They are more visible in the center.

This is what a sunflower looks like when it's ready to harvest the seeds.
